Shea Homes, renowned for their innovative development strategies, celebrated the grand opening of their new full service community center. Located in Commerce City, Colorado, the bright red barn façade, exposed wood trusses and 35-foot tall metal silo, are just a few of the design elements that characterize the new Community Center at Reunion.

Keeping with the Reunion philosophy, the new full service community center is focused on residents of all ages. The center includes a 100-foot water slide, full-court gymnasium, fitness center, locker rooms, community lobby, an outdoor playground, childcare services, an aerobics/dance/yoga room, and a classroom/party room. A poolside July 4th barbeque party kicked off the opening of Reunion's 3,600 square foot outdoor pool which includes a lap pool, splash pool and leisure area with an interactive water spray feature. Future enhancements for the recreation center are a 37-foot tall climbing wall and indoor pool.

Hand sketches and computer-generated models were used to develop and refine the building's imagery.
