Sink Combs Dethlefs, an award winning Denver architectural firm in business since 1962, is pleased to announce the addition of three new Principals: Michael Harvey, Ernest Joyner and Jennifer Stephens.
Michael Harvey's technical abilities and great attention to detail make him a natural to lead large, complicated projects. With design and management experience on more than two dozen arena projects, he has a comprehensive understanding of spectator venue design. During his ten-plus years with Sink Combs Dethlefs, Michael has developed and implemented a project delivery system that addresses every aspect of the fan experience. With arena industry contacts across the continent, Mike is always on the cutting edge of arena trends and truly understands the operational challenges of arena owners and managers. In 2008, Michael was a guest speaker for the annual Global Spectrum Conference where he presented one of his most notable projects, the Saint Louis University Chaifetz Arena. Michael Harvey joined Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1998, and actively manages the majority of the firms’ arena projects. He graduated from Iowa State University.
Ernest Joyner brings a wide range of experience in many types of projects from sports and recreation to commercial office and mixed use. Ernest currently serves on the board for AIA Colorado. Ernest is the Project Manager for the NBA Improvements to the Oklahoma City Ford Center. He was the Project Manager for the award-winning Town of Parker Fieldhouse. Ernest graduated cum laude with a Master of Architecture from Clemson University and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University. Ernest is a LEED Accredited Professional and is actively involved with the United States Green Building Council.
As Director of Marketing, Jennifer Stephens leads the business development, public relations, strategic planning, proposal and interview preparation and conferencing efforts for the firm. Jennifer regularly attends industry conferences and has co-authored numerous articles in industry trade publications. She currently serves as a Grant Reviewer for Great Outdoors Colorado and has served as a committee member for the Colorado Recreation Design and Management School for 3 consecutive years. Jennifer has served as the Marketing Director for Sink Combs Dethlefs since 1992 and graduated with honors with a Bachelors of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
