Fred Coester: Senior Associate
Fred Coester joined Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1977. Fred has worked on a variety of facility types including recreation, arena, stadium and office buildings. Fred works to create high quality design, on tight budgets, through the creative use of forms and materials. He understands that the ability to listen to and coordinate the needs and the requirements of client and user groups is paramount to the success of any Sink Combs Dethlefs project. Fred graduated in 1971 with a Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas. Fred has been licensed to practice architecture since 1976 and is NCARB certified.

Mike Harvey, AIA: Senior Associate
Michael Harvey joined the firm in 1998 and is actively involved with the majority of the firm’s arena projects. He recently served as Project Manager for the Saint Louis University Arena, the MTS Center for the Manitoba Moose in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and Mandalay Bay Arena in Las Vegas. Michael graduated in 1994 with a Bachelors of Architecture degree from Iowa State University.

Ernest Joyner, AIA, LEED AP: Associate
Ernest has a wide range of experience in many types of projects from sports and recreation to commercial office and mixed use. As a project manager, he is able to find consensus in varied interests and differing points of view and focuses on his clients' agenda to help each project achieve its full potential. As a designer, he believes buildings should be honest expressions of their function and the materials of which they are made. Ernest serves on several AIA committees and has been elected Secretary of the AIA Colorado Board of Directors for the 2008 year. Ernest has particular expertise in green building techniques and is a LEED accredited professional. He graduated cum laude with a Master of Architecture from Clemson University and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University.

Steve King, AIA: Senior Associate
Steve King has more that 20 years experience in architectural design and has been with Sink Combs Dethlefs for 8 years. He recently served as Project Manager for the University of Colorado Folsom Stadium Expansion and the Silver Cross Field for the Joliet Jack Hammers. Steve has a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.

Jamie Ryan: Associate
Jamie Ryan joined Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1994 and has served as the Accounting Director since 1999. With over 13 years of experience in the accounting field, Jamie contributes to financial forecasting and economic planning to ensure the accomplishment of the firm’s financial goals. Jamie earned a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State College, which enables her to lead in the dual roles of accounting and administration of human resources. As the administrator of human resources Jamie is key in the development and maintenance of Sink Combs Dethlefs’ competitive benefit package.

Jennifer Stephens: Senior Associate
Since 1992 Jennifer Stephens has served as the Marketing Director for Sink Combs Dethlefs. She has been with the firm since 1990 and leads the business development, public relations, strategic planning, proposal and interview preparation, and conferencing efforts of the firm. Jennifer has an architectural background having graduated with honors with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Lee Sterrett, AIA: Associate
Lee Sterrett joined the firm in 1996. Lee is very familiar with the design and project management of collegian athletic facilities as well as minor league ballparks and multipurpose event centers. His past projects include the award-winning University of Wyoming Rochelle Athletic Center, University of Wyoming Indoor Practice Facility, Sebo Athletic Center at Bowling Green State University and Silver Cross Field for the Joliet Jack Hammers. Lee has a Bachelors in Architecture from Kent State University.

Mira Theisen, AIA: Associate
In 2007, Mira became an Associate of the firm. She began working with Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1995 and is currently the Project Manager for the Creighton University's Athletic Facility in Omaha, Nebraska and for the Pole Creek Golf Club House in Fraser Valley, Colorado. Mira graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder receiving a Bachelor of Environmental Design in 1991. She earned her Masters of Architecture in Historic Preservation in 1993 from the University of Illinois, Champaign where she was a recipient of the Quincy Fellowship in Historic Preservation.
