

Fred Coester, AIA: Senior Associate
Fred Coester joined Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1977. Fred has worked on a variety of facility types including recreation, arena, stadium and office buildings. Fred works to create high quality design, on tight budgets, through the creative use of forms and materials. He understands that the ability to listen to and coordinate the needs and the requirements of client and user groups is paramount to the success of any Sink Combs Dethlefs project. Fred graduated in 1971 with a Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas. Fred has been licensed to practice architecture since 1976 and is NCARB certified.
Steve King, AIA: Senior Associate
Steve King has more that 25 years experience in architectural design and has been with Sink Combs Dethlefs for more than 10 years. He recently served as Project Manager for the University of Colorado Folsom Stadium Expansion, Silver Cross Field for the Joliet Jack Hammers and City of Greeley Family Fun Plex and Ice Haus. Steve has a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
Lindsey Peckinpaugh, AIA, LEED AP: Senior Associate
Lindsey Peckinpaugh joined Sink Combs Dethelfs in 1999. She has excelled tremendously as an Architect and as a leader within the organization. She is licensed to practice in Colorado, Illinois, and is NCARB certified. Ms. Peckinpaugh is now managing Sink Combs Dethlefs Chicago office. The projects managed and completed by Ms. Peckinpaugh are characterized by her methodical approach, technical innovation, accuracy, and creativity. She was the Project Manager for the Broomfield Event Center, Fresno Recreation Center, and Independence Event Center. Lindsey graduated with honors from Ball State University; there she received her Bachelors of Architecture and Bachelors in Environmental Design.
Brian Parish: Associate
Brian Parish has been with Sink Combs Dethlefs since 2000. He received a Bachelors of Science in Architecture degree in 1996 from The Ohio State University where he focused on computer graphics and design. His skills as a 3D modeler, animator, and designer are utilized on a majority of the projects undertaken by the firm including the Save Mart Center, MTS Centre, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Brian also functions as the Director of Information Technology striving to make sure that both the firm and it's projects are taking advantage of the latest technological advances.
Jamie Ryan: Associate
Jamie Ryan joined Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1994 and has served as the Accounting Director since 1999. With over 13 years of experience in the accounting field, Jamie contributes to financial forecasting and economic planning to ensure the accomplishment of the firm’s financial goals. Jamie earned a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State College, which enables her to lead in the dual roles of accounting and administration of human resources. As the administrator of human resources Jamie is key in the development and maintenance of Sink Combs Dethlefs’ competitive benefit package.
Karen Stanzyk: Associate
Karen Stanzyk serves as Contract Manager and Executive Assistant to the Principals. She joined Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1997. She is responsible for contract preparation and verification in accordance with AIA regulations, legal requirements and company policies. Karen attended Carson-Newman college in Tennessee.
Lee Sterrett, AIA, LEED AP: Associate
Lee Sterrett joined the firm in 1996. Lee is very familiar with the design and project management of collegian athletic facilities as well as minor league ballparks and multipurpose event centers. His recent projects include the award-winning University of Wyoming Rochelle Athletic Center, University of Wyoming Indoor Practice Facility, Sebo Athletic Center at Bowling Green State University and Silver Cross Field for the Joliet Jack Hammers. Lee has a Bachelors in Architecture from Kent State University.
Mira Theisen, AIA, LEED AP: Associate
Mira Theisen began working with Sink Combs Dethlefs in 1995. Her recent projects as project manager include the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs Student Recreation Center and the Wood River YMCA in Ketchum, Idaho. Mira graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder receiving a Bachelor of Environmental Design in 1991. She earned her Masters of Architecture in Historic Preservation in 1993 from the University of Illinois, Champaign where she was a recipient of the Quincy Fellowship in Historic Preservation.
